Domestic Violence affects our whole society. From lost productivity at workplaces to absenteeism at school to higher prison numbers. Domestic Violence can and does occur in all socio-economic groups, cultures, and religions.

It can affect people at any age from within the womb to death, (whether pre-mature death or elderly). It affects people from any sexual orientation, heterosexual, gay, lesbian, transsexual, and transgender relationships, people who are dating, people living in the same house, or in close personal relationship with each other.

Domestic Violence affects Children, Women, Men, Sisters, Brothers, Mothers, Aunties, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Grandparents, Grandchildren, Workmates, it affects us all.

The highest proportion of victimisation from Domestic Violence is that of violence by Men toward Women and Children.
